March 26, 2004 18:12 IST
G Vijayakumari, widow of former Lok Sabha speaker G M C Balayogi, failed to get re-nominated from Amalapuram constituency as the Telugu Desam Party released its second list of three Lok Sabha and 47 assembly seats.
D Janardhan Rao replaced her; the party retained B Venkateswarulu for Warangal.
Shobha Nagi Reddy was nominated for Nandyal constituency, replacing her husband Bhooma Nagi Reddy, who is likely to contest for assembly election from Allagadda constituency, currently held by her.
The party has replaced as many as 13 sitting legislators.
The list was released at 0100 IST after a marathon meeting of the party's politburo at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Thursday night.
The ruling party earlier released its first list of candidates for 16 Lok Sabha and 72 assembly seats. As part of its poll alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the TDP is contesting 33 Lok Sabha seats and 267 assembly seats in the 294-member House.
