It's shutters down for Advani after 10

March 11, 2004 15:10 IST

He was an hour late in reaching Chengannur during the first day of the Bharat Uday Yatra.

Referring to BJP's likely candidate for the Mavelikkara seat S Krishna Kumar, Advani said, "I know the candidate here. I will be happy if you send him again to Delhi."

Krishna Kumar, a former union minister who quit the Congress recently and joined the BJP, was present.

Advani then drove to Kottayam where he wound up nearly 12 hours of his first day's road journey that had started from Kanyakumari in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
