Eleven out of 12 independents in Pratapgarh are dummies

Eleven of the 12 independents contesting from Pratapgarh have been declared dummy candidates and their police guards withdrawn.

Of these, five were found to be working for the Congress, four for the BJP and two for the BSP, district magistrate Jitendra Kumar said today.

The vehicles of these dummy candidates would be impounded if they were found using them during polling, he added.
