Congress releases first list for Arunachal assembly

The ruling Congress in Arunachal Pradesh has re-nominated 27 of its 33 ministers in its first list of 52 candidates for the October 3 assembly election.

The party list was released by Chief Minister Mukut Mithi in the capital Itanagar yesterday.

But the names of candidates for eight assembly constituencies could not be finalised.

Speaker Chowna Mein and five ministers were representing some of these constituencies in the outgoing assembly.
