Initially, the ICC Champions Trophy was known as the Wills International Cup.

India defeated Australia in its first match at the Wills International Cup in 1998 as well as the ICC Knock-out Trophy (2000)

Sourav Ganguly is the best batsman by far in the two tournaments held so far -- he scored 432 runs at an average of 86.40

Jacques Kallis is the most successful bowler with 12 wickets, at a misery average of 17.42

Tendulkar occupies the second place in both the batting and bowling categories: 320 runs at 53.33 and 10 wickets at 19.30
