Dope tainted Pakistan pacer Mohammad Asif [Images] on Sunday said he will ask the Indian Premier League's [Images] drug inquiry tribunal to hold its next hearing at a neutral venue.

The IPL tribunal was due to hold a hearing on November 29 in Mumbai on the doping charges on the pacer, who played for Delhi Daredevils [Images] in the inaugural season of the Twenty20 [Images] tournament, but the proceedings was called off due to the terror attacks.

"Yes, we are thinking about asking the IPL to hold the tribunal hearing at a neutral venue because of the existing conditions in the sub-continent," Asif's lawyer Shahid Karim said.

"We don't think it would be a good idea to have the hearing in India. We have heard they are planning to hold it on December 30 but this is not confirmed as yet. We will take a decision by next week and send our request to the concerned authorities," he added.

The IPL tribunal will decide the fate of Asif, who flunked a dope test during the inaugural edition of the IPL in June. Asif's 'B' sample test conducted in Switzerland [Images] also proved the presence of banned substance.

But the traces of the banned substance found in his two urine samples differed leading Asif to challenge the findings of the IPL tribunal.

Asif is currently suspended by the Pakistan Cricket Board due to the dope flunk.
