Jacques Kallis, by catching Wasim Jaffer on Day 1 of the third Test against South Africa, completed his 100 catches in Test cricket.
Kallis became first South African to do so. Having already scored 8072 runs and taken 202 wickets, Kallis thus became only the second player in Test annals to complete the allround treble of 8000 runs,100 wickets and 100 catches, emulating West Indian Gary Sobers.
There are three other players -- England's Ian Botham, West Indian Carl Hooper and Australia's Shane Warne - who have scored 3000+ runs besides taking 100 wickets and holding 100 catches. The following table has the details:
