In the Kolkata Test Wasim Jaffer [Images] followed his marathon score of 202 in the first innings with yet another impressive show in the second dig, scoring 56 at a brisk pace.
Jaffer thus became only the fifth Indian batsman to score a double century and a fifty in the same Test. He is only the second Indian opener after Sunil Gavaskar [Images] to perform this feat.
Jaffer is the first Indian to do so against Pakistan. In fact there had been only two previous such instances against Pakistan.
