Venugopal Rao to lead BP XI against Sri Lanka

Y Venugopal Rao, who was dropped from the Indian ODI team, will lead the 12-member Board President's XI team for the one-off three-day match against Sri Lanka [Images] to be held in Bangalore from November 26.
The decision to appoint the Andhra youngster as captain was taken at a meeting of the National Selection Committee, headed by Chairman Kiran More, held in Chennai on Tuesday, BCCI Secretary S K Nair told reporters.
