This is how the three members of Exclusive-10,000 club reached this milestone:
Batsman | Mts | Inns | Ave. | Reached on |
Tendulkar | 266 | 259 | 42.37 | v Australia,Indore,31-03-2001 |
Inzamam | 322 | 299 | 39.06 | v India,Birmingham,19-09-2004 |
Ganguly | 272 | 263 | 41.22 | v Sri Lanka, Dambulla,03-08-2005 |
Note: It must be noted that all of Ganguly's runs have not come for India.
His aggregate includes an innings of 22 for an Asian XI v World XI in a Tsunami [Images] Relief Fund match played at Melbourne in January this year, which was given official status by ICC [Images], but not considered by many statisticians (most notably by Bill Frindall) since it flouted ICC's own ruling about official ODIs.
So technically Ganguly is still 4 short of completing his 10,000 runs for TEAM INDIA.
