Ramesh Powar also came good with the bat, attacking the bowling at will. He scored 57 in 68 balls, with five boundaries and a six. Mumbai ended on 244 all out, setting the Rest of India a target of 340.
Powar has also scored three centuries and seven half-centuries, amassing 1,252 runs at an average of 37.93 in first-class cricket. His performance in this match coupled with the showing in the Challenger series may force his selection for at least a first-class game against New Zealand.
