In another Oval Test 32 years ago, Johnny Jameson was out identically when Brian Luckhurst's stroke brushed B S Chandrashekar's hand and hit the stumps, setting the tableau for a famed Indian win. (The Mumbai-born Jameson was run out in both innings.)
It was Kallis' 26th half-century in Test cricket. The all-rounder has also scored 11 centuries.
