A 'sporting wicket', that will equally assist bowlers and batsmen, is being prepared for the second cricket Test between India and New Zealand, beginning on October 16, at Mohali.

"For the first two days it should help seamers; on the third and part of the fourth day it should be a batsman's dream, and for the rest of the match spinners should enjoy bowling on the wicket," Punjab Cricket Association president I S Bindra told reporters at Mohali on Wednesday.

He said some additions would be made in the infrastructure available in the stadium and spectators would now be able to catch the action in slow motion.

"A video replay screen will become operational by October 10 and a world-class gymnasium will be commissioned before the match. We have also imported aeration machines so that outfield is not very hard and the player gets a cushioning effect while fielding," he said.

The Test match organising committee, chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, met on Wednesday. The chief minister said entertainment tax would not be levied on the income generated from the match.

Bindra said tickets have been reasonably priced to suit every one. For the students' block, a season ticket will cost Rs 25, while for the general category, it would be Rs 40. The cost for a VIP block ticket will be Rs 400, air conditioned lounge Rs 5,000 and terrace block ticket will be available for Rs 1500," Bindra said.

The Stephen Fleming-led New Zealanders are scheduled to arrive in India on September 23. They will take on India 'A' in their opening fixture, a three-day match, starting at Vishakapatnam on September 26.

The visitors will meet the Board President's XI in their second and last warm-up match before the first Test begins at Ahmedabad on October 8.

After the two-Test series, India and New Zealand will also play in a triangular one-day international series with World champions Australia as the third team.
