New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming survived an injury scare and will be available for the second cricket Test against India, beginning in Mohali on Wednesday.

Fleming underwent a scan at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Wednesday morning and a subsequent report cleared him for playing in the series decider.

The Kiwi skipper took a knock on his head during the team's practice session on Monday evening. Though he did not immediately feel the after-effects of the blow, he complained of slight dizziness today after which he was advised a precautionary scan.

With the go-ahead to Fleming, and Nathan Astle also available for the match, the Kiwis will field a full-strength side.

Astle has an injured left knee and will miss the one-day triseries though.
