South Africa all-rounder Andrew Hall will miss his country's next two Test matches after the International Cricket Council dismissed his appeal against suspension for bringing the game into disrepute.

Hall was banned after barging Pakistan batsman Yousuf Youhana during a one-day international in Rawalpindi nine days ago.

"No one who has seen the video, and I have seen it four or five times, can be in any doubt that there was a very serious confrontation between Mr Hall and Mr Youhana," the ICC quoted former judge Oliver Popplewell, who heard the appeal, as saying on Tuesday.

The ban means Hall will miss the two-Test series against Pakistan, starting on Friday. South Africa won the one-day series 3-2.
