Badani to lead India A

Hemang Badani will lead the India A team for the Kenstar tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The team, selected in presence of selectors Syed Kirmani, Kiran More, Pranab Roy, and Sanjay Jagdale, was announced on Wednesday by the Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary S. K. Nair.
The tri-series, to be held in Kolkata from December 22 to 30, will be played on single league basis with each team playing the others twice. The top two teams compete in the final.
The tournament involves seven One-Day International matches including the final, all played following the ICC Code of Conduct.
The teams will gather in Kolkata on December 20.
The Indians will assemble after the completion of their Ranji Trophy matches from December 17-20.
Nair also confirmed the participation of a foreign team in the Duleep Trophy. He told rediff.com it will be either Bangladesh or Kenya.
He also said discussion on the contract issued with the players is over. "We have sent them the copies of the contract and now they have to just get back to us. Everything is done from our side."
