BCCI to pay stand-by ICC Trophy team

Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to present a cheque of Rs 200,000 to all the probables, who were picked for the second string team for ICC Champions Trophy.

A BCCI spokesperson said everyone who had signed the contract for the tournament will be given the money.

The BCCI had chosen a stand-by team for the Champions Trophy, under Robin Singh, after the main players got into a controversy with the International Cricket Council over the issue of sponsorship logos, and refused to sign the contract to wear logos of brands other than those they endorse.
