On November 15, 1989, a young lad aged all of 16 years and 205 days took the field at Karachi for his first international appearance. And, in the face of a bouncer barrage by the Pakistan pace trio of Imran Khan, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram, made 15 runs. Ten years have passed. And in that time, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has grown -- in years, and cricketing stature -- to a point where, today, he has put his contemporaries behind and now, invites comparison only with the all-time greats. We celebrate that decade of excellence, with a photo feature capturing that transition from boy to man, from cricketing tyro to modern great.
