English county team Surrey's total of 438-5 in 50 overs against Glamorgan in
the fourth round match for the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy was the
highest ever made in a limited-over match anywhere in the world.
Listed below are some of the highest team totals achieved in limited-over
matches.

Meanwhile, the match run aggregate of 867 runs for 15 wickets in 99.5 overs
in the above match was also a world record. It bettered the previous best of
754 runs for 16 wickets in the Challenger Trophy match between India (392-6)
and India B (362) at Chennai in 2000-01.
During the match, Surrey's Alistair Brown also set a new record for the maximum
runs scored by an individual batsman in a limited overs game. His 268 was, by
far, the highest, bettering the previous best of 222 (unbeaten) by former
South African left-hander Graeme Pollock for Eastern Province way back in
1974-75.
Incidentally, it was Brown's second double hundred in a limited overs
game, making him the first batsman in history to do so on two separate
occasions.
List below are all the individual double centuries in limited over games.

Among these world records, Glamorgan's pace bowler Darren Thomas, also got
into the record books for a dubious feat -- he conceded 108 runs in his nine
overs, which was the mazximum conceded by any bowler in a limited overs
match.
Cornwall's Chris Lovell, against Warwickshire at St. Austell in 1996, had conceded 107 runs in 12 overs in a NatWest Trophy match. Bowlers conceding over 105 runs in a limited overs match are listed below.
