England in New Zealand

New Zealand have dropped wicket-keeper Adam Parore as one of five changes to their one-day squad for the first two limited overs internationals against England.
Parore is the highest-profile casualty from the squad that dumped Australia out of the tri-series competition but lost the three-match final to South Africa.
All-rounder Scott Styris also missed out along with left-arm seamer James Franklin and opener Mark Richardson.
Paceman Dion Nash is sidelined with an abdominal muscle injury.
Parore will be replaced by big-hitting youngster Chris Nevin who should bat at the top of the order with Nathan Astle, while seamer Daryl Tuffey will bolster the bowling.

West Indies and Pakistan in Sharjah

Half centuries by Taufiq Umer and Younis Khan underlined Pakistan's advantage after West Indies skipper Carl Hooper had passed 5,000 runs in Tests.
Hooper's defiant 84 not out enabled him to become only the ninth Caribbean batsman to reach the milestone, but his side still trailed by 108 on first innings.
Opposite number Waqar Younis chose not to enforce the follow-on and his decision paid off as Taufiq and Younis shared an unbroken stand of 130.

England fans will have to pay "ridiculously low prices" to watch Nasser Hussain's men in next year's World Cup.
The package to follow England through their group matches of the tournament in South Africa will cost just 755 rand (£47).
Tickets will be available over the internet, through a dedicated telephone call centre and at the individual venues.

The former Indian captain criticised the England team in his column for the Hindustan Times, calling them "the champion whingers of the world".

Former captain Wasim Akram has been given the all-clear to join the Pakistan squad in Sharjah for three one-day international against West Indies. The veteran all-rounder was ruled out of the two Test matches after suffering a hamstring injury on a recent tour to Bangladesh.

Rahul Dravid has recovered completely from his shoulder injury and will lead the Board president's XI against the visiting Zimbabweans in the tour opener to be held at Vijayawada from February 15 to 17.

Mohammad Azharuddin and the BCCI have been advised to settle their dispute out of court by the AP high court. The high court also observed that courts were "ill-equipped to deal with specialised subjects".

Under-19 World Cup

Australia convincingly beat South Africa in the Under-19 World Cup final.
They won by seven wickets, with four overs and five balls to spare. Jason Burke led them to their target of 209 with exactly 100 not out.
