Caddick recalled to the England squad
Paceman Andrew Caddick was recalled on Saturday to the England squad for next week's third Test against India at Headingley, Leeds.
The 33-year-old Somerset player has recovered from a side injury which kept him out of the one-day triangular series and the first two Tests.
Lancashire all-rounder Andrew Flintoff was also named in the 13-man squad but will undergo a fitness test on a groin injury to assess whether he is fit to play.
Flintoff has been told he needs a hernia operation to alleviate the injury.
"Andrew Flintoff is a key player for us and we will have to see how he is after practice next week," said England chairman of selectors David Graveney.
"We very much hope that he will be able to play but we do have other options available and we are not intending to add to this squad at the present stage."
Durham fast bowler Stephen Harmison, who made his debut in the second Test at Trent Bridge, retains his place, as does Alex Tudor, who was in the squad for that game but did not play.
All-rounder Craig White was ruled out of the game earlier this week after tearing an abdominal muscle while Simon Jones, who made his international debut in the first Test, has not fully recovered from a side strain.
"Although it is disappointing to lose Craig White, there will still be plenty of competition for places as Andrew Caddick and Alex Tudor are both now back from injury and have been bowling well for their counties," added Graveney.
The third Test of the four-match rubber starts on Thursday. England lead the series 1-0.
Squad: Michael Vaughan, Robert Key, Mark Butcher, Nasser Hussain, John Crawley, Alec Stewart, Andrew Flintoff, Dominic Cork, Ashley Giles, Andrew Caddick, Matthew Hoggard, Stephen Harmison, Alex Tudor.
