Parthiv, Harbhajan included
India captain Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat in the second cricket
Test against England, at Trent Bridge, on Thursday.
India made two changes to the side that played the first Test, bringing in
Harbhajan Singh for Anil Kumble and 17-year-old wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel for Ajay Ratra.
Both Kumble and Ratra are injured.
At 17 years and 158 days, Patel is the third youngest to play for India.
England decided to go in with five fast bowlers, bringing in Dominic Cork and debutant Steve Harmisson for
Ashley Giles and an injured Simon Jones.
Opener Robert Key will also make his debut. He replaces Graham Thorpe, who opted out due to personal reasons.
