India's batsmen frustrated England's bid to level the series as the second Test in Amedabad meandered to a tame draw.
Hussain said his side showed character in coming back so positively from a humiliating 10-wicket defeat in the first Test at Mohali.
"England played pretty well in this Test match. It was a flat deck, but I thought the spinners worked pretty well,"
said skipper Sourav Ganguly praising the way England performed.

South Africa in Australia
Damien Martyn stroked his third Test century to lead yet another Australian lower order fightback as the home team emerged on top after day two of the first Test against South Africa.

Martyn, who remained unbeaten on 124 not out, was involved in partnerships of 86 and 77 for the seventh and eighth wickets with Shane Warne and Brett Lee respectively as Australia recovered the ground its middle order lost to post a commanding total of 439.
Glenn McGrath then prised out the wickets of the Kirsten and Dippenaar in the last session as South Africa finished on 101/2.

West Indies batsman Brian Lara was hospitalised after being badly injured in an on-field collision while batting against Sri Lanka in Kandy. Lara was on 24 in the 11th over when he collided with fielder Marvan Atapattu at the non-striker's end while running for a quick single.
Team manager Ricky Skerritt, who had accompanied Lara to the hospital, confirmed that his star batsman had dislocated his left elbow.

Players and officials at the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa will be protected by stringent security measures, tournament director Ali Bacher said on Saturday.
The tournament will staged from 9 February to 23 March, with matches also being played in Zimbabwe and Kenya
But prices are relatively cheap, Bacher said, as a means of attracting more overseas visitors to South Africa.

West Indies medium-pacer Darryl Brown took three for 21 on his debut as they dismissed Zimbabwe for 154 in the final group match of the triangular tournament.
However West Indies completed the formalities and saw their team through as Chris Gayle played an explosive knock of 85 in just 79 balls with 17 fours and a six. They managed to overcome the Zimbabwe total in just 34 overs and at the loss of 2 wickets.
