Dasgupta shines for India
Day 2
Deep Dasgupta became the sixth Indian wicketkeeper to register a Test hundred.
It was the ninth such hundred for India. Budhi Kunderan (192 & 100), Farokh Engineer (109 & 121) and Syed Kirmani (101* & 102) had made two hundreds each, while Vijay Manjrekar (118), who kept wickets against the West Indies at Kingston in 1953, and Nayan Mongia (152), the last Indian 'keeper before Dasgupta, are the others to do so once.
